I use HDMI but you can use either, all you need to do is select passthrough in audio not downmix.

Thanks. I've just already done it before creating this thread... The sound realy comes out but... only DTS Core and not DTS-HD Master. Moreover, I've found yet that optical is limited with its bandwith and HDMI is the only way to have DTS-HD Master. I tried several MKV files but my Denon AVR-2600H shows only standard DTS .
How did you find the signal you heard is DTS-HD?
