Duo2-Not Showing All Tuners

Hi Everyone, I am using a Duo2 [4 tuners] with the latest OpenBlackhole image. I would like to report there is a little malfunction on the display of tuners which is only showing 2 tuners instead of 4 in ‘Information> Devices’ menu. And showing 3 tuners in ‘channel view’ by pressing the ’ok’ button when there are 4 recordings in 4 different channels.

By the way, I would also like to know whether these pages will show the correct info if any of the tuners is not working?

Thank you

Please post your satellite dish setup, the cable runs, to your tuners, including any Diseqc switches, and your Duo2 tuner settings.
Have you checked each tuner separately, by connecting only one cable, to each tuner, at a time, and viewing channels?

Hi Mick12334, thank you for your reply.
I am very sorry for my lack of information. It is Dvb-T2 [2 nos of dual tuners] and not Dvb-S. I tested it out by doing 4 recordings on different channels all at the same time and all the time it only shows 2 tuners and not 4.

From memory, doesn't the DVB-T2 tuner have a RF in, and a RF out, meaning that it only has one tuner, not two, and has the VU+ duo2 only has two tuner slots, you probably only have two terrestrial/cable tuners, but I could be wrong.
I use my Duo2 for satellite, where the DVB-S2 tuners have two inputs, so can handle 4 satellite tuners.

I have 2 nos of dual Dvb-T2 tuners, each dual tuner has a set of RF-in & RF-out. All 4 tuners must work in order to do 4 recordings on 4 different channels. I remember Duo2 is displaying the tuners correctly as 4 nos previously.

RF in is a tuner, for your receiver, RF out is a pass through, to link back to the TV, or to another receiver/VCR etc, used before HDMI, and digital viewing.
I don't view terrestrial television, or cable, but on satellite you can record numerous channels, providing they are on the same transponder, with just one tuner. With 4 satellite tuners, e.g. 2xDVB-S2 twin satellite tuners, on a VU+ Duo2, you can record all channels, on 4 different transponders, I think it was listed as up to 16 channels.

If you want more tuners try looking for USB tuners.

No, Mick: I've got twin DVB-T2 tuners, either in Duo2, or in Solo4K or in Ultimo4K. This means they are physically only one (and they use one slot) but they are twins, meaning two terrestrial tuners by one cable and one slot only.
And so, you are shown two tuners' letters in each decoder (C, D on Duo2, I,J on Solo4K, Q, R on Ultimo4K, for example, but it may be varying according to the other tuners).
