always having to restart ******

Morning all
I'm a newbie looking for a little advice. I've recently upgraded from skybox F5s to a VU+ DUO2 and I must say I'm very impressed. I've pretty much got it running perfect apart from 1 small issue, every time I leave it idle on a FTA channel and I switch to an encrypted channel I either have to restart my ******* or reboot box in order for it to decript. I'm using ****** 1.35a and start is enabled in ******* manager. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
