arte 5plus1 or stereo

sometimes I record arte and I gert 5.1 other times I get stereo

I was under the impression the 5 colours dots on the screen meant the show was in surround and arte is always surround.

i also wondered if a program is in stereo and i record the last 5 mins of it does the whole recorded stream including the program after is in stereo or does it change as when i edit the file it does not say some is stereo and some is surround

final if it helps the program in question i recorded and was disappointed was not in surround was Agnes Obel au collège des Bernardins. if any one recorded it can you tell me if it did have surround sound

No ... The 4 colours dots ( not 5 ) on the screen are related with HBBTV broadcasting service:

SC_HBBTV1.jpg SC_HBBTV2.jpg SC_HBBTV3.jpg

The sound can be different from program to program.
