Atheros chipset / ath9k_htc compatible with 1.6.7 ?

Can anyone please confirm whether a USB wireless adapter using Atheros chips and the ath9k_htc driver is compatible with BH 1.7.6 or any other image for the VU+ Solo?

I need to buy a high gain wifi adapter and the only one I can find locally is a TP-Link TL-WN822N.

Thanks for any advice you can give.
