Autocam and recordings

I am using autocam and it works well but i have a problem setting it up correctly with Solo2.
I am using Auto Timer and it records in the background as standard. The problem with this is that Autocam follows the primary channel and not the recording channel. I am looking for some solutions to force Autocam following recordings, hopefully without too many drawbacks..
