Avoid unwanted updated for older version in OMB

I've tried several times to install a previous version of BH 3.0.x either in flash or, preferably, in OMB (to avoid the problem with zapping from Tivusat channels to DVB-T ones that did not affect older versions) but, after the installation, whatever plugin I download this process causes the drivers' update (and my problems comes from new releases of the drivers, I suppose, not just from BH itself).

Is there a way to avoid this problem? For instance, setting a different repository coherent with the installed version?

AFAIK, each image has it's own kernel version and drivers, so there's no mix.

My experience is different in the sense that, yes, each image has got its own kernel and drivers (at the beginning) but the problem occurs when you install some plugins: after that I find my BH updated even if I didn't perform the overall update.
Now, I'm not sure if this happens only for some plugins installed as .ipk after having uploaded them in tmp or also for the ones you can download from the Addons section. Still, it's impossible to install some plugins I need.
