back up problems

Hi,
Have BH 1.7.8 and thinking of upgrading to latest image. Last time I changed I seemed to have problems with the plug ins. Some worked but others needed to be re-installed. I'm not sure I understand the difference between a full back up and a personal back up. I did both but only used the personal back up. Have a sundtek USB tuner which did cause me problems when I initially installed it, which I am keen to avoid this time.

your personal backup is not compatible with new image I'm afraid.
That's good you have full backup of 1.7.8.
You can try new bh version but save your FULL old backup image files onto your PC's hdd so you can easily get it back if you're not happy with new oe.

Just to confirm, if I want to upgrade to latest image I will have to re-enter all my settings to sat tuner and USB tuner as well as all plug ins.

The channel setting and few other files can be re used by saving them using software manager!
For plugins or skins NO they have to be compatible for oe2!
