Backup through images?

I have Blackhole 2.0.6 in my Duo2, would like to update to 2.0.9. Can I make my backup and restore after update? Heard that sometimes backups are not compatible with newer BH images. If these images are not compatible, how can I update without loosing all my box settings? Please help.

Sure! But is always better to install the new image and then you can load plugins,skins,picons ect...without backup.
