Basic EPG information needed

Recently, My EPG display seems not very comfortable, I would like to understand more about the EPG system.

1. I knew that EPG data can be downloaded from satellites' EPG broadcasting and from Internet. The question is How can I know which source is the best suitable to me?
I means that
A) whether every EPG source covers all of EPG data for all channels and all satellites?
B) If it is not ( I guess), How do I know which source covers which satellite?
C)Generally, How do these EPG data providers manage those data? Or BskyB only manages bkyb's EPG, and Itsky only manages It-sky's EPG.

2. If every EPG provider only manages a partial EPG data (certain Satellites or/and channels), How and where do I get such information?

3. If the second question is true, I have to download a few times from different EPG providers to cover my personal selected satellites. Is the BH able to manage the EPG data which come from different sources? I means whether the new data download will overwrite the EPG data which have been downloaded from a different source?

4. In the BH EPG panel, I only found that only one EPG data provider can be set in the EPG panel. If my understand is incorrect, How do set a few EPG data providers as my default EPG sources?

5. My DUO2 has a few thousands channels which covers a few satellites, but I only watch less 100 channels which in my foverite. The EPG data downlaod often show founs several thousands titles and summeries. How have the EPG data been downloaded? I means that every channel's EPG in my channel list or those which are only in my foverite?

6. I have 3 EPG related settings in my system. They are EPG panel and CrossEPG which are default from BH. I have installed an addon FastCrossEPG downloader. I believ that the last addon is just for download which depends on the settings of CrossEPG (settings). What are the relationship amoung them?

You have just asked many questions...;)

EPG can come directly from the channel (embedded in the stream) and can cover only the present/following event or sometimes span a longer period (for ex. a week)
This EPG is called EIT (Event Information Table) and can be separately enabled in BH.
See:
Code:

EPG can also be transmitted by a broadcaster as a specific data stream, using a standard called OpenTV (for ex. Sky)
CrossEPG can handle it.
See this and similar threads on the Community:

Finally, EPG can be collected downloading the data from an Internet source (for. ex. the Rytec's providers).
This EPG can be formatted in different standards, for ex. XMLTV.
CrossEPG can handle it.

Thanks @Eragon for your reply and information. I will go to the website to have a look. I have read something before I ask, but make me more confused (I think).
