Best way to back up image

Hi all , can some one tell me the best way to backup my duo2 before i flash to the latest image version please. Would like to keep all my picons and stuff if possible,
Currently useing blackhole 302.j
 
The software built-in feature: BH fullbackup.
But if you mean to have the way of importing to the new 3.0.3, you can't.
About picons it depends where did you stored them: in my case they are image-independent because I put there in the main HDD but it would be the same if you put into an external USB device.

So Fullbackup it's just to give you the opportunity to get back in case you like.
 
Best way to save all your setting is personal backup but don't save picon.
Install picon ia a Usb stick mounted like media\usb. Create a folder called picon and install all your picon inside: when you install a new image picon will always be recognized.
 
I did not mention personal backup because I've been always let down by this feature. But this is just my personal opinion.
Instead of having half a mess into the new installation, I'd rather start from scratch.
 
I didn't say it can't work or it doesn't work. I said that I've had sometimes some issues and some plugins got messed.
