Please Note:

Due to limited resources some end of life models will no longer be supported from BH 3.0.6 onwards. If you want to use BH with these receivers please use version 3.0.5

This Image has the latest drivers but CAN be installed in OpenMultiboot. The image does not need to be installed in flash.

What's Kodi version ?


To update Kodi when a new version is released use this commands via telnet

sudo apt-get upgrade

Note: In some cases where additional packages are required, Kodi will fail to upgrade when using the upgrade commands as above. To install additional packages use the command below

No readings of SNR in dB in Black Hole
because there is no VU + original coding for it.
Everything else is a question of driver and VU + coding.

Black hole should work on this because signal strenghs is always measure in db and if any receiver or any firmware dont support such basic function is a peace of crash

How many users understand what's dB ?
Not only those users, already 70% of technicians do not know the definition of strength expressed in decibels.(dB microvolt ,dB miliwatt e.t.c)
They all understand the percentages.
Besides, it's just a relative measurement. Box is not a precision instrument.

The decibel (symbol: dB) is a unit of measurement used to express the ratio of one value of a physical property to another on a logarithmic scale. It can be used to express a change in value (e.g., +1 dB or −1 dB) or an absolute value. In the latter case, it expresses the ratio of a value to a reference value; when used in this way, the decibel symbol should be appended with a suffix that indicates the reference value, or some other property. For example, if the reference value is 1 volt, then the suffix is "V" (e.g., "20 dBV"), and if the reference value is one milliwatt, then the suffix is "m" (e.g., "20 dBm").

So the question is what is the signal level if the display is at 12 decibels.

You are confusing two things
measurement in decibels and percentages
and Zero 4k problem with measurement.
That has nothing to do with each other.
Zero 4K measurements can only be fixed by VU + because they have hardware information
and software (drivers)
It can not be solved by any team that is known to me.
The teams do not have access to the above.
On the other hand, despite this lack of VU + Zero 4K is a fantastic receiver
with the best tuner of all other VU + receivers i have test i think all of them.

It's not clear to me why you're buying something
for what you have so bad opinion about.
Buy these Chinese receivers they are certainly better.
Of course not.
Comparing quality is one and the visual SNR , second problem.
Since I've been in electronics for more than 30 years, I know what I'm talking about.
For this money this is a good and sensitive receiver.
I think we have to end this discussion.

This obsession about measurement is frankly RIDICOULUS.
But it's ridiculous particularly because, as Matrix said and as said thousands of times, decoders ARE NOT ABLE TO GIVE YOU A STANDARD, ABSOLUTE VALUE. Each box has its own values and you can just and only compare two transponder by teh SAME BOX, not two different boxes' values.
What matters is: can you watch a channel or not? Everything else is waste of words.
