Black Hole and Subwoofer

Hope all you fine ladies and gentlemen are doing well today.

I'm having a little issue with BH and my sub-woofer. On HD channels playing DD track I don't get any sound from my sub-woofer. Now it may be that the DD track is only a 1.0 or a 2.0 but I don't think so as i get sound coming from my Center, Front Right, Front Left and back speakers. It is unlikely it is a 5.0 track. I pretty sure I have the right config on my VU+ Duo2. Funnily, when I watch the same channel in SD there is sound from the sub-woofer, or when I turn on Downmix. Is there anyone that can shed some light on this for me.

Just a quick update.

When I watch the same Movie on the HD channel but bypass the box (free to air channel) there is 5.1 sound and the sub-woofer works fine. This is not an 'end of the world' issue for me but it is bugging me.

Whether the channel is encrypted or not ...

I always have sound on the subwoofer, center and front even though it's not 5.1. When there is a 5.1 channel everything works. The Box has OBH, connected by optical cable to the amplifier.
