Blackhole image - recording problem

Vu+ Newbie
Hi all

I have the latest BH image on the ultimo and I like the image but I am going to have to get rid of it.

Whenever I play a recording on the box, it randomly just hangs. I have to press pause and unpause to get the recording to start playing again. Or press rewind. I cannot understand why this is happening.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a fix?

I have no problem to play recordings on my Ultimo.
You should indicate the image version you are using, the kind of hdd, if you mounted it by Bh devices manager, etc.
 
Thanks for your post Lancilloto. At least I now know it isnt just me!

I have gone back to the Vix image now as this problem is unacceptable.

well, idk about u guys.. but i had glitches in all caps. as it looks its some kind of bug in kernel 3.1.1.. so idk
bough a extra box a 'org' dm8000.. and have no glitches what so ever anymore.
 
the glitches i had was when editing in etc videoredo.. every cap had audio resync frames and such.. with de dreambox i have a clean raw stream without audio resync frames and such
 
After posting various threads, I have found that the problem with playback through the vu+ box is a vu+ driver issue, nothing to do with the image..

But, I have never had the problems you describe when opening files in videoredo. Its only when playing back on the box itself.

I've recorded 4 streams with Ultimo and all records are OK......
 
thats very wierd.. the only difference is that i use a 1tb samsung drive (replaced the drive aswell to test).
but u have a ultimo.. idk if thats the difference.
 
This is a fault with the drivers and has been reported to Vu, a fix from Vu is required. It is a intermittent fault, I have experienced it, but cannot replicate it and can occur with other images. It has been reported on several BBs
 
I had the same problem.
I have a 500GB WD.. and Image randomly Hangup.. and when play DVD from USB the audio descompensate.

This happend on every Image.. BH (old) , BH(latest) , VTI.. all imges have the same problem.
 
What type of box, model of HDD? My Vu+Duo and Solo2 don't have any of these problems (tested on BH 2.0.1 rev. A, VTI 5.1.0, OpenPLi 3.0, original 1.6), HDD Toshiba 2,5" 5400 rpm, 320 GB for Duo and 500 GB for Solo2. External USB DVD rewriter Samsung Slim - extra powered.
I saw just yesterday on Solo2 2 hours DVD without any problem.
