Box crashes when downloading Rytec-SKYUK EPG

Hi, I have a VU+ Duo with Blackhole 1.7.2 and for some reason when I try to download the Rytec - SKYUK Epg the screen goes green and it say´s there is a software error then goes back to the previous channel. My friend has the same box and image and is not having the problem but I have another friend with a Vu+ Solo who also has the same problem as me. Any feed back would be much appreciated as this driving me mad
 
Take a look at the crashlog on your hdd, most likeley a memory problem.
If you don`t use a swapfile then you you can try it again with a swapfile.

1st make a swap file

2xBlue>Swap file settings> "fallow instructions" 32 mega is more than enough!

Now try,,,if U still have crashes,,,use a script called Free-Ram..made by my friend P2P.

The swap file is up and running. But.. Your post which I found while searching for the Script....

"I solved my problem this way:-

1- Make a swap file on USB,,(a size of 32 or 64 mg more than enough).
2- Use a plug-in/script called > Force SWAP to reduce RAM VU+Duo.
(found @ linux_supprt_Addons).
3- Before making an EPG update, does not matter using BH_EPG settings or CrossEPG

Do I upload your script by USB MENU-SETUP-SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT-INPUT -USB-Free-Ram.sh?
Also, is there any benifit in updating my current Version files (see above)?

It`s a script, so it goes to /usr/script
Set rights/chmod to 755 and then you can acces it with your remote -- green button -- blue button

Script does excactly the same as the plugin.

How exactly do I move it to /usr/script ? and which menu do I "Set rights/chmod to 755".
I have this box about 2 years and am still learning the basics.

You move it with a ftp program like DCC_E2 (google it ), if you moved the file to /usr/script then right click with your mouse and then you can change it (attributes)
Or with telnet the commando: chmod 755 /usr/script/Free-Ram.sh
