Hi!

Does anyone know if Vu+ UNO 4K SE can be used without a tuner? More like start up without a tuner? I am looking to buy Vu+ UNO 4K SE only for IPTV streams and get a better price without tuners since I wont need them.

Thanks for your answer! And you are 100% sure? cause I hear different things from different people which makes me confused.

Only Him can be 100% sure ;)
Actually, I can't see what the problem might be: if you have an Enigma2 box an it is connected to Internet, you have the chance of using IPTV: what has this to do with tuners?
Actually, I don't even conceive a box without tuners and I don't use IPTV: I want picture quality when I watch TV, not just channels.
I use IPTV very, very, very occasionally, because I hate to bear their unstable behaviour. So I'm not an expert about it. But, surely, if I removed my tuners, why IPTV should not work?
It's a matter of logic. What is the relationship between IPTV (Internet) and tuners? I'm curious.

I can confirm that it works on a old Dreambox without tuners so I guess I can take the chance of it working on the Vu+ Uno 4k SE also. I was just unsure if the box itself would not start when it doesn´t find a tuner connected.

Even though the tuners are there, they are "turned off" when you set a new image, you have to activate them. But not doing this the box can connect to the Internet and get everything that can for you.

But I have a curiosity: why buy a box E2 and, concretely this Uno 4K SE if that is not properly cheap, intended for IPTV only? Well it's a good model, at this point my Uno 4K SE is issuing in IPTV (not the Falbacktuner) for a flawless Duo4K but, both the priority, is the satellite and the terrestrial.

Are you saying there is any playback problem with IPTV for the UNO 4K SE model? The reason I picked E2 is because after trying many different Media Android boxes even the most expensive ones that play dolby vision can´t handle the decoding of IPTV streams. My old Dreambox can, and much much better. How ever that Dreambox do not have enough memory for adding picons, EPG and so on and do not play 4K. The streams I am going to play is DVB IPTV streams so not something unfamiliar to the E2 system and the box itself. Quality wise sometimes even better than some Cable providers.

I use Vu+ Zero 4k for my wife's IPTV channels, not connected to anything else but the internet, and it works perfect.

I am not saying that there is a problem, on the contrary... but there must be equipment dedicated only to IPTV with good performance with a more satisfactory price.

I usually take mine when I go on vacation... on the facktuner to my duo4k, which is at home, Five Stars!
