I do not see why not!
The STB just a receiver hooked a satellite!
The TV system is the problem, they use NTSC not Pal/secam, so if your STB HDD has videos recorded in europe it will not play on NTSC Tv's!

Thanks for a quick reply, I don't mind getting rid of the videos on the HDD, any idea if the decoder an NTSC compliant? And i've also heard of ATSC, I don't know if that matters as well.
Thanks.

I am not sure it is just that easy. The NTSC/PAL/50/60Hz is a matter of setup. I would be more worried about power. USA runs on 110V@60Hz , compared to 230V@50Hz most places in europe. Some Power SUpplies can compensate for this, i am not sure if the Ultimos onboard PSU can do this.
Look at the rear where the power goes in, it should say accepted input. From what i can tell from a few blurry images on google, it does say 110V , but i would really verify this before plugging it in. You will probably need a new C7 power cable .

Thanks for your contribution, am not at home to verify the voltage input but out of curiosity I just googled but the pics were blurry and since I been setting up the ultimo, I can't remember coming across video system setup (NTSC/PAL) Now if any of these two issues are not fixable that means I should consider giving it out for any price sadly.

Voltage regulator will take care of that!

"
Input Voltage: 50V,90V,150V-250V

Output Voltage: 100V,110V,220V

Frequency: 49Hz-62Hz
"
