Changing default skin

I would like to change my default skin, now I've installed a new one and selected it in configuration, but to preserve space in ram i would replace completely the default skin with another one.
Can I do it simply replacing files?

No it can not if you not have default version of the skin.

Space in ram ???
No is not in ram.Maybe some small parts
not used from skin you using (active skin)
I used to install 5+ skins, so I have no problem with space.
a one skin that is no problem for these boxes.

How many plugins then you have ,when you had to remove.

:D

It could but then you have to know coding and structure of the skin.
You can try to use the default skin from an earlier version
If there were no skin changes.

It appears you have not understood
your ram problem has little to do with skin
regardless of whether skin is default or not default skin
no significant differences.

With plugins is another story or some extern skins (not from our team)
witch using own python coding.
