I was wondering if anyone would be able to help set up my VU+Solo running 2.1.7 image to change channels using the remotes channel +- buttons instead or as well as left right button's. I've currently got HDMI CIC on with a Samsung TV and that function would be very neat using the TV's original remote.

You should reconfigure your remote with MultiQuickbutton or similar plugins.
