hello, I'm new in the world of the vu +. I have a SOLO2 is a marvel.
just, I veus how to connect my pc with my solo live without a router to remove the channel list to make changes and return again in the list box.
I like picture blackhol 2.0.1 how to get my ip and SOLO2 name and pass

With cross LAN cable, usually it's sold in Blue or Red color, set your PC LAN in static IP (192.168.1.1, mask 255.255.255.0) and Vu+ Solo2 in DHCP on (will generate IP 192.168.1.2).
On PC use Dreamboxedit, IP will be 192.168.1.2, name "vuplus", password "root".
 
you need dhcp server to use dhcp on vu+. AFAIK every PC is a client for dhcp servers and has no servers built-in. That means vu+ IP address needs to be set manually and will not be picked up automatically from 2nd dhcp client (PC in this case).
In my fresh install of dreambox edit ver 5.2.0.0 default username was: root and password: dreambox (I did not have password set for root when was installing it).
