D.l.n.a issue

Vu+ Newbie
Hi all,

I already post such post a couple of time ago, but still no luck.
I upgrade to BH 2.0.9 yesterday on my vu+duo2 and still the same issue.

At the very beginnning when i received my vu+duo2 , i installed a BH 2.0.7.1 and
with that specific firmware i could use without problem the dlna function to watch
a channel on another device ( Panasonic-TV ) through dlna.

Since then no luck, i of course upgraded each time a new firmware was available but doesn't
work anymore.

Phenomenon is , when i start the dlna function on my tv set , i can see the vu+duo2,
i then select it and can see folder and even all channel Inside each favourite.
When i select a channel i got as message ==> please wait.

It is not that the tvset is not compatible with .m3u files because i could use before with previous
firmware!

Iaslso made a test with mediatomb , but exactly the same issue.

i have my both tuner connected , dlna server is also enable and tuner built.
If anyone has an idea , because it was really one of the major point why
i bought that receiver, so i am a bit confused.

thank you in advance for your help.

joel from Brussels

I think I've already said
I can watch a channel with SoundHub Home theater
on my Sony TV over the network.
SoundHub Home theater connecteed on the network and HDMI to my TV.

.m3u files ??? I think have no any relation with SAT tv streaming ts stream .

Tonight I tested a little all this because usually I do not use

Unfortunately I have to correct myself.
TV Stream is not going through DLNA but over
Coherence UPnP server and transcoding
It seems to me to Port 8002.

Can you explain that a little bit how you use DLNA server
for TV stream.
I can only use media files via DLNA.

Hi matrix,

m3u file are the extension use for playlist , with this kind of extension any dlna devices can show all list of channel coming from another dlna compliant on the network.
I did it as i explain a couple of months ago with a previous firmware, no more possible today obviously.

I did it without any other device helping it , such as the " SoundHub Home theater " that you mentioned.
And dlna doesn't only stream files coming from your hdd but also your channel , if not , why would have coder from BH developped the tuner server, that was the purpose of this feature, and it worked because i use it for a while.

I send a very detailed issue to vu+ source website but never got an answer from them, so i don't know if they will do something
for that.

Unfortunately I have not tested with the BH tuner server.
I also can not test 100% because I do not have a Panasonic.
Coder also not have Panasonic that I know.
Maybe you could give a little more detail.
Do you have something to edit ?

This is a big problem
because manufacturers do not use the same standards (HDMI,DLNA etc)

I looked at these m3u files
I tested the tuner server but I have a different error
(file does not have support.)
have you tried to change port 8001 to 8002 in this files
I think the problem arose when added Coherence UPnP??
have you tried with enabled and disabled Coherence UPnP?

Hi,

i tried to activated and deactived the upnp renderer but doesn't suceed.
what i don't understand is that it worked with previous version of BH.
What i don't understand either is that nobody use that functionnality.
Ialso tried to change the port 8002 to 8001 in transcoding setup but doesn't change either.

i am really disapointed about all that.

thank you all for you cooperation anyway

I understand.

My problem is that m3u files get extensions mp3
within SoundHub Home theater
....m3u.mp3
I get error, because it is not an audio file.

So all together , I see the folders and files
but I got error.

I'll ask Coder for opinion.

Hi,

i mentioned that i have a Panasonic TV , that was just for inftometaion
but i did the same test with other friends of mine that uses solo2
and duo2 with latest BH firmware and the results are the same.
So the functionality Tuner virtual is not working properly, you just can
see your channel list and channel Inside of them but when you select a
channel nothing happen, Of course when you do the same thiing though
vlc on a computer there it works.
The thing is only happening on a dlna device on the local network.
To be honnest with you i tried with other firmware from other teams and
it is the same, i think problems comes from drivers itself and thus from
vu+. It is my opininon, i suppose one day it will be fixed.

Thank you my friend

Hi ,

is there anyone encountring the same thing , problem ?
i had to buy an extra android tv box to be able to acces second tuner of my vu+duo2
because i made a lot of test with my Panasonic tv and impossible ti Watch a channel from
the playlist channel found through dlna.

This problem doesn't only occur with Panasonic tv , because i tested it on other brand and it is exactly the same
issue.

So when you select on your tv ( D.L.N.A ) the tv detects the vu+duo2 the shows up the different favourite channel that
you have , then when you select the channel tv stays for a while searching then nothing.

i made the test with various BH firmware but nothing.

I have to say that the tv set has the latest firmware from the manufaturer ( Panasonic ) tv model 2013 ( TX-P55VT50E ).

i really would ike to find a solution to that problem, if someone can help and explain how he bypass that issue it would be great.

thank you for your support

Hi,

I have the same problem with my Panasonic TX-L39E6E. I can play MKV, MPG and other files over D.L.N.A. but channels are not streamed. Later I fount, that some channels can be played. I don't know what depends on it, but I found that if you record ts stream to HDD and later copy to USB memory stick, then you can play it on your TV without problems from TV's USB port. It proves, that TV codec recognizes the stream and problem is delivering this stream over D.L.N.A.

I already tried Solo2 with two Panasonic tvs tx-p50v20e and tx-l39e6e with the same result: file not supported. It seems a problem on the streaming format.

I have made some test to stream chanels from Solo2 (VTI, BH, Openpli) with dlna, mediatob, webif, with or without transcoding to Panasonic TV or WD TV box. Nothing works exept "BFM TV" with BH/Mediatomb. On PC (Win7, Ubuntu) everything is OK .

PC I7 (Win7, Ubuntu)
Ipad
Panasoic TV's, Samsung TV, WD Tv box, Netgear TV box
Solo2 BH 2.0.9
Wired Network

Downloaded recorded ts stream, just remuxed and uploaded back to vu+ HDD. After remux everything works fine. Somebody could work on this problem, because I think, many want to watch tv in other room without hundreds of HDMI cable :)
