I have just bought a vuplus ultimo box with a 2TB hard drive. I can download media files from my pc to the box but the media player which is installed will only play a limited selection of file types. I have a vlc plugin is there a way to install vlc on the vuplus box as the default media player so that I can view a wider range of file types through my television? I am using BH 1.7.5

I think you need to install separate plugin. There are few of them, some can show subtitles some more advanced act as standalone multimedia suite. Check plugins section. I cant recommand any as I didnt used any. I am converting all movie to mp4 h264 and IT works.
