Deleting unwanted plugins and extras

Is there anyway to delete unwanted plugins and extras , many of the extras it i never used i have tried to removed them in software management but they are never removed although it says they have been removed they arn't.
Am i missing something ,i just feel it would run smoother with all the stuff removed i never use.

With BH image you can use "Uninstall" function (Green -> Yellow button) or use your favourite FTP client to delete unwanted plugin.... or you can use Software Manager to remove pacakges previously installed....
 
I'm trying to delete plugins that come with the image itself via software management ,it doesn't remove them for some reason.
 
Sorry for the late reply, i mean any of the plugins in the base image not any i have downloaded.
