Does VU+ Duo 2 work in the USA?

It's just that I thought the USA has cable TV instead of Satellite TV. How do you connect cable TV into the receiver?
 
The USA has Cable TV, Satellite TV, and OTA or Terrestrial TV. What would you like to know about running the Duo2 in the U.S.?
 
Unless something has changed recently that I am not aware of, U.S. cable connects to a receiver the same as a satellite dish does. I do not think the Duo2 supports U.S. cable though.
