dual tuner problem

Hi,i have a vu+ solo2 receiver.I have a fixed dish with 2 lnb outputs(typical s*y+ rig)These goes to each of my tuners,A and B.The problem is i'm only seeing channels on i/p A hence i can't record anything and pip doesn't work.I go into setup/service searching/tuner configuration and get the choose tuner menu.I have set both tuners to simple/single/28.2/no..Can anyone advise me how to select each tuner or both.I'm told to use tuner B if only one cable is being used but that is the input which is blank at the moment.It's all a bit confusing so i would be glad if anyone can help.Thanks

@ifearnobeer : Menu>Setup>System>Customize - Expert and select preferred tuner from Auto to B
Configure your Tuners as advanced, LNB1, 28.2, Universal, other stuff default.

I've gone to customise and there is no option for prefered tuner.In expert mode there are 18 options to change but no prefered tuner.

Thanks.Do i need to save any data on my vu i.e channel lists etc?
