For the first time Using the Duo 2 with BH 2.1.5 I have tried to use Catch Up TV, Hbb TV here in Australian but it has problems starting/working on 4 out of the 5 channels that have Hbb TV service. the 5th channel a Government channel the ABC (Australian Broadcast Commission) works Perfect in every function possible but as for the other 4,, well its a NO GO.
Now this is what I have found.
If I press the OK button on the ir control and the skin comes up and I press RED button the Duo 2 says Hbb TV Plugin, thats it and nothing else happens. The box becomes totally unresponsive, can't use anything. Now this happens on all 5 Hbb Tv channels prividers including the one that works perfect the ABC . So to rectify this I press EXIT and all goes back to normal.
Now the only way to access Hbb Tv is I press a LONG Blue that gives me the window where in that window I'm given the option of Hbb Tv Applications and after that I press it and these are my findings.
1/ The ABC Channels. In Hbb TV Applications (long blue) it gives you three options
Options
A/ ABC = Works Perfect
B/ Freeview Plus = All it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation
C/ IVIEW = Works perfect
2/ SBS TV Channels. In Hbb TV Applications (long Blue) it gives you THREE Options
Options
A/ SBS Hbb TV = all it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation
B/ New APP = all it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation.
C/ Main Network APP = It actually bring up the SBS on demand, it shows you the shows you want to watch "eg" Movies, Sports, NEWS, Documentaries, you select any of the four categories , you select which show you want, An Advertisement starts, an ADD finishes and that it.
3/ CHANNEL TEN. In Hbb TV Applications (long Blue) it gives you THREE Options
A/ TEN AUTO PLAY = all it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation
B/ TEN PLAY = It actually bring up the TEN PLAY, it shows you the shows you what you want to watch "eg" Movies, Sports, NEWS, Documentaries, you select any of the four categories , you select which one you want, select show An ADD starts, an ADD finishes and either hangs or repeats the ADD continually but what you selected watch Never starts.
C/ FreeView Plus = ll it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation.
4/ Channel 9. In Hbb TV Applications (long Blue) it gives you TWO Options
A/ 9 JUMPIN = all it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation
B/ Freview Plus = ll it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation.
C/ Channel 7. In Hbb TV Applications (long Blue) it gives you TWO Options
A/ Hbb TV = ll it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation
B/ FreeView = ll it does is it brings up on the duo 2 TFT screen Hbb Tv Plugin but noting happens, box becomes unresponsive, hit exit and box goes back to normal operation.
By this you can see that only one of the 5 works well.
