E2BMC on VU+ Solo2

Hi,
did you see this project

Code:
www.E2BMC.com

?
any way to get this working on solo2?

I've read into home page and they declare that is a new STB. I think there is no possibility to run their software in our Vu+ boxes, but it's my impression and can be wrong.

In the begin participate members can run alpha/beta version of e2bmc. (from october)
When final concept/version is released the non-participate members can try it out. So you have to wait till it's released as vu is no participate in development of e2bmc.

Again, if you read the content of the link it's reported that will be a software suite for new STB and NOT for current ones.

E2bmc is software for settopboxes for new and current STB. As the current ones didn't want to participate they need now to wait for the release and then we must see if they want to make it compatible.

I think E2bmc is not
Hi,

I think it is not a good idea.
This is a way to slow down and compromise Xbmc performances with the old and limited enigma2 interface.
I prefer to have a full Xbmc system with integrated pvr like in Prismcube.

Time will tell. The enigma2 interface hasn't anything to do with performance of xmbc and it use full xbmc system so far I know.

If'm not mistaken
the question was about the XBMC on Enigma machines

Do you think abt the Processor used in Enigma receivers
This of course is not the same as PrismCube,
not to speak abt other software differences and drivers controls were performed specifically for PrismCube.
We should not forget that professional coders from VU + a longer time working on this project.
I doubt that it is so easy and simple.
I think the reactions are more than optimistic abt E2BMC.
Something as E2 on some non Broadcom Processors
It took a couple of years to make this work and even now is not working properly.

Again, the story going around in circles
E2 receivers using to call them Enigma Broadcom processors,
is not the case with PrismCube.
