Hello to the community, my problem is described firmly on the title.
After many hours and trying to find an answer I give up. I use Ubuntu 14.04
and OS X 10.10 but this is the only thing that troubles me, I cannot connect the
receiver on a proxy there seems no plugin available or any of the usual Linux
CLI solutions, also libproxy is preinstalled but any help will be very appreciated!!!

Ok it seems that

export http_proxy=http://proxy.myproxy.com:port
works ok the only problem now is to set it on startup
but that may be easier.
