epg.dat files out of date

Hello everyone,

As you probably have noticed, the epg.dat files are out of date since March 26.
The reason is because of a system fault.
The server which creates these files has crashed and is not working anymore.
We are thinkong for a solution but for now we do not create these files.
But you could also use the xmltv importer to install on your image I think and then import EPG again, these are the same files we create so the data is the same.
Only you should use the xmltv importer instead of the build-in epg.dat importer.

If we have the new solution, we let you know.

not updated for french csat
i tried with crossepg and forced conversion to epg.dat then it's ok now
let us know when your server is repaired and epg.dat run again with direct download

Wij hebben veel problemen met de EPG/CrossEPG laatste dagen.
Crashes enigma.
Ik weet niet waarom.
Ik wil je vragen om na te gaan wat is het probleem.

The epg.dat files are up-tot-date again since the middle of last week. They are produced now on a new PC. So the problems of last weeks should be over.
Try it again, and let me know how it went pls.

PS: try to avoid the use of Crossepg. XMLTV importer is a safer bet.

If I understand correctly
it is better to use the BH EPG than CrossEPG
But I just downloaded all the EPG with Solo2 (my epg.dat file is 45 Mb)
and it seems to me that all this is now functioning without enigma crash.
Of course I can not check all the EPG but no crash after test
with SkyUK,Sky Ita,C+,Canal dig,Canal Sat,Canal + Spain etc...

My recommendation,

if you have problems.

Delete/remove all EPG,
epg.dat and CrossEPG files , if you using CrossEPG
CrossEPG files in /media/usb/crossepg/ or /media/hdd/crossepg/ (HDD)

After update providers and re-download EPG

I have had also several problems with Crossepg. Could never find out wat the problem exactly was.
But now I avoid Crossepg totally. I normally use the XMLTV importer.
But on BH the use of the epg.dat files seems to working best. (do not know how the XMLTV importer is behaving on BH).

We produce the epg.dat files especially for BH. However the process by which it is produced is somewhat hairy. And we several severe problems with it the last couple of weeks. But since the middle of last week, I have not seen errors anymore during the production of the epg.dat files.

It looks that dead wood in the channels file (this is the link between epg data and the channels of your box) was causing all the problems. This dead wood are old channel references left over when providers change their channels to a new frequency. Mostly the new references are sent to me, and added. But rarely the old reference is passed on, so it could be deleted. So after now several years, a lot of dead wood is accumulated.

I have tried to remove as much as I dared. But of course there is always the chance I have removed some live channels as well.

On top of this problem, we als had problems with one of our PC's.

so how can I update epg.dat file? and where to send it to ?
is there new Bhepgproviders.cfg configuration file for Blackhole???
