EPG does not update

Hi

I have a VU+ Duo (original) and I am using BH 1.7.6

If I download cross epg in other words start downloader or go into cross epg and select download. It just sticks on starting downloader and will not let me do anything I have to switch the box off and on. Every morning I have lost my epg data. The only way I can recover the data is by pressing blue for BH blue panel then red Epg panel then select rytec_SKYUK and it usually works.

However in trhe morning the data will be gone. Any help would be appreciated on this.

Where are you saving your EPG data, usb stick or HDD? Check the path in the EPG Global Settings (Blue, Red, Red) and set it to /media/hdd.

Then enable auto EPG backup (Menu, EPG Backup, Settings).

Configure it to use opentv to update as this seems to be almost perfect these days.
