EPG makes the receiver slow?

Ever since I started using the BH EPG, my receiver is very slow. I get the spinner even when I try to restart enigma. Could using the EPG cause these problems?

Try 2 make swap file & Epg Backup @ USB,,,,it may help!

I already have a 128mb swapfile on USB and when I enable EPG back up it stops the EPG from updating (don't know why....) This is really bad because even changing a channel causes the spinner to spins for about three or four minutes. My box (Solo with BH 1.6.5) is unusable with BH EPG. :confused:

Is there a log file that might tell me what's happening?
 
Deactivate Swap file and delete it, if not successful at once try to reboot receiver.
Install Latest BH 1.6.6 clean at VU+ Solo Flash memory (not multiboot).
Install Latest Driver /lib/modules/2.6.18-7.3/extra (They work Great) - Reboot.
Make Swap File 64MB or 128Mb.
Press Blue/Red set EPG Default store at media/usb.
Enable EPG backup also on media/usb.
Now try to Download EPG Data.
