EPG Recording problems.

I am new to this too, but have had my Duo about 2 months running Sky on the Black Hole image. Not sure witch image. I have been having more and more problems with the EPG and timer recordings.

I have set up the CrossEPG plug in and set all the settings to download in the early hours of the morning. Box is never in deep sleep and very rarley on stand by.

Some days the EPG does not update, but that is not the real problem. The real problem is that most times I set the timer to record, it cuts off upto 10-20 minutes before the end of a recording. I have checked the time on both the main box and EPG and both are correct.

I do have a signal issue that later on in the day night, I loose some channels, usually the HD, movie and music channels. I have asked the installer about a bigger dish, but he says there is plenty signal as i get the sports channels.

Does anyone have any solutions to this as my Mrs is going to throttle me if her soaps stop before the end much longer. :-)

I am in Costa del Sol with a 1.2m dish with I think it is a Sharp twin LNB...

Since the providers have been changing the correction factor and frequencies (lately) , this has been happening!
Try to adjust the LNB or dish , this may help!
For the other issues , do image update and 1st make boot upgrade if the BH image is older than 1.66!

I would recommend to read more about it here at the Board (use the search tool)

Thanks for the reply. The dish is maxed out at it's current location, and can not be moved, that is why I am thinking I need a bigger dish. Can you recommend a new LNB as I am thinking about changing to a quad to make use of my old HD box.
