which epg would people recommend i have update my zero to 3.0.9g and i cant get the epg to work i have try croosepg i have try epgimport
This board is now closed. The Blackhole image ended in 2020.

It's not a matter about CossEPG or EPGimport. What matters if using the sources and configuring them appropriately for your purposes.
Then, they are a bit different: Crossepg has got the ALIAS function and uses also OpenTV providers. EPGimport does not have ALIAS and does not use OpenTV providers.
So, your question is too generic.

In EPGimport there's nothing to do, just choosing your favourite sources. As simple as that. Did you do that?
Then you decide the time for the automatic download or you can launch it manually.
