I wrote about this problem with regard to a different topic but the main issue is this one.
I connected a new 3Tb HDD WD Purple through the external sata port to a docking station because I want to copy everything from the internal HDD and then swap them.
But I'm experiencing a very low transfer rate copying by the eSata port to this new HDD. It's not normal having only about 2Mb/s. How come? I tried the same HDD in the same docking station by the USB2 and it's surprisingly more performing!
The same file of only 730 Mb needed about 20 minutes to be copied via eSata and only 3 minutes by USB.
This is very disappointing. What could be the reason?
I don't need to say that the same docking station connected to a PC via eSata it's very fast (about 90Mb/s). Just to assure that it is not a docking station issue.
