external usb hdd - how to put to standby / spin down when inactive?

Hi,
I had ad Dreambox7000 with internal hdd for 18 years ;)
and now I switched to Vu+ Duo2 with external USB HDD.
Unfortunatelly my external hdd on Vu+ is working all the time
even if longer periods not accessed. I would be nice to have it
spin-down / in standby / "hddsleep-like" after 10 minutes.
I've googled and searched for a while after such a feature
and found some hints:

enigma2-plugin-extensions-hddsleep_1.70 OE 2.0 ,
...
Code:
hdparm -B 255 /dev/sdX
Replace sdX with your drive.
...
enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-aus_0.1-r0_mipsel.ipk

but did not get it work as desired.

I've forgot to specify my settings:
image = Black Hole 3.0.1 OE3, USB HDD external = 'older' 2,5" 500GB Verbatim
