external USB HDD not initialised

Hello,

I am running a Vu+ Duo2 with BH 2.1.7 image. The recording and everything works fine until I have to do a hard reset of the STB (for some reason - e.g. crash or freeze with green screen).

If I do that the external HDD is losing its initialisation and the only way I can get it back to work is to have it initialise through the respective menu. As you know however, this deletes all the data on the HDD, so I was wondering is that standard behavior or is there a way to avoid that.

It's same with mine. I put the timer on to record a programme but switch the box up but timer couldn't record as External HDD got unmounted !! It was same with B.H 2.1.6
