hello all , i own a vu+duo2 and have few question about the firmwares
first of all : what is the difference between the one here and the one coming from code.vuplus
[sorry about link not complete but i am today 's registered]

second is about the keyboards , i have 3 computers and use an usb switch that have 4 ports and 4 connectors , i used the latest connector and pluged it into the duo2 usb port but it was not possible to use the keyboard with the opera browser , nor the mouse...

may be i did a mistake ?

is it possible to use a hub with the duo2 ?
my hub has : a steelserries keyboard with a logitech mouse , an xbox 360 pad and a eikon finger-prints reader .
the hub model is aten 424

should i plug a mouse and a keyb directly ? or wait an update or the blackhole image has the right drivers inside ?

It's just easy to try with a direct connection.
A normal USB keyboard should work in all the fields that require an alphanumeric input using the virtual on-screen keyoboard.
 
thank you , i ll do that way when i ll have a bit of more space on the desk....i would prefer the duo2 to support the mouse and the hub ;']
plus the xbox360 when opengl... hope that will come

beside that to flash the blackhole firmware , should i use the power button at boot button with usb already plugged ?

i also have question about the root name and its password for the BH and the code+ firmware [ mine is 2015-03-12-vuplus experimental / image 2015-03-19 ]
i need them for tool like dreamset243 . i want to use this tool [ or a better one ] to edit the channels list .
it looks to be the only way to edit detected list .
is there a way to delete channels with the duo2 menu and remote control ?
 
i need the root password to save my current channel list , the first one i made with all channels was about 7000 , the current one i use is nearly 4000 channels with only free-to-air .
as it takes nearly a day to get the file i would like to save it before erasing and re use it with the black hole firmware .
in both case i will need the root pwd

for the keyboard only .... surfing needs a mouse ...like linux or even MsDos ...even nowadays uefi bios are using it ;']

Serious surfing could never be made on a sat receiver... ;) There is lot of better devices that you should already have (or should buy...;))
Even a SmartTv is miles better, or an Android stick...
 
thank you for the help , i used dreamset and dreamtoolbox . it was not easy to find the right settings : enigma or enigma2... plus the folders ..but i made it thank to the web and its bloggers .
surfing with a duo2 should be cool with a big screen of 50 or more [ and a mouse with a real keyb ;'] at least is a cheap solution with no virus
beside that the mouse or xpad360 with a big screen can be cool if used on a opengl world for user to input his position and shows the satellite and its footprints like there are at lyngsat-maps .
the footprints of satellite seem to not be used when receiver does a full automatic search , while it would help to remove channels and save time , mostly for those having a motor .
