FlashExtended + Kodi

Vu+ Newbie
Hi,

I have a Vu+ Solo2. I have used FlashExtended to expand my flash memory. Thus, the /usr folder has been moved to USB.

So far so good. The problem is that when running Kodi. As Kodi has its folder in /usr, when running Kodi, it is very slow.

My question is next. USB is 2.0. If I use USB 3.0, will Kodi run normally, or at least at an acceptable speed?

Thanks

For Kodi, better use an hdd, although you can use an USB device mapped as /media/hdd ( formated as EXT4 FS ), and use instead of Flash Expander:

  • Open Multiboot.
You have a guide to implement OpenMultiboot here --> http://www.vuplus-community.net/board/threads/how-to-use-open-multiboot-on-open-black-hole.23270/

You can use in Flash the lastest Open BlackHole 4.1.001, but pay attention to your STB model ( Solo2 ).

You can then, install severall images in OpenMultiboot:

  • Open BlackHole 4.1.001
  • BlackHole 3.0.4
  • etc
