Flashing icon on screen

Vu+ Newbie
For the last weeks my VU+DUO2 has a flashing icon in the main screen.
It looks like a solid dot in brackets that permanently flashes.
Can anyone tell me what this means?
 
Are you using openvix by any chance??? If so this green flashing symbol means there is a update available for the image you have installed.....
