Flashing Problem

Hi,
I have two problems,

1. when i flash 2.17 it has kernel ver. 3.13.1 but after flashing kernel box shows ver 3.9.6 why?
2. I tried couple of bl images each has its own start up different color logo's but mine box always shown the oldest one

First of all, 2.1.7 images have different kernels.
Duo, Solo, Uno and Ultimo have 3.9.6 kernels
Solo2, Duo2, SoloSE and Zero have 3.13.1
