Forcing VPS also for repeated timers

VPS has been really implemented only by few providers. For instance, it works great in Swiss, German and Austrian channels.

With them, you can be almost sure of its success. But, it seems impossible to use the VPS option (either the "pure" one or the safe one) when you set a repeated timer.
If you create the timer by the GUI this options simply disappears.
If you, instead, create or edit a timer by the WebIF, it is apparently possible to set it but it does not succeed.
Probably, editing the timer by the WebIF, it's at least possible to use the SAFE VPS option (that I actually enabled by default for new recordings from those channels, so I see it alread enabled by the WebIF) but I haven't had the chance to verify if it works for real (because the safe option acts only if an event is prolonged after the end time set by you, and this has never happened so fa with my repeated timers).

So the question is: is this a technical limit for repeated timers that's not possible to get over?
Or is it something not yet foreseen to implement in (O)BH timers when the VPS plugin is installed?
