Free some space from Vu+

x-xxxA

Vu+ User
I'm pressed for space on my Vu+ Uno. I have removed skins and left only the default and removed a plugin or two and left the essential ones. I have an internal HDD and USB. I do Full Backup on HDD and leave only the last update on HDD and the picons are on USB.

In the ******* -Folder removal I have 0.27MB Free Space. Total Space 98.4Mb.

Besides ******* for plugins and skins, from where can I free space?

If I remove picons for some packages that I don't use frequently, does it help to free space or not as they are installed on USB.

Backup your Latest settings.
Clean Install Latest BH image and Drivers in Flash.(You Can Uninstall all Plugins is you like)
Use meoboot to install (Same BH image) in USB Stick.
Run image from USB, this way you will avoide memory issues.
I recommend you. a very fast USB 2.0 stick so you can enjoy your VU+ better.
I have my VU+ running like this and never had any issues.
Regards.

After making Full Backup, I installed BH1.72 on meoboot. Now the problem that I have is that I only can view Free Channels on meoboot. When I change to the origin Flash Version everything OK. I've loaded the same ****** 1.35a on meoboot as the original version on Flash.

My server gave me the Password so that I can make contact with WinSCP to the Vu+ to transfer movies from PC. I installed meoboot using DCC.

With these two programs, or other programs, can I do something so that I can watch same channels that I can view on the flash version.

If you just use the vuplus map that`s in your backup map, transfer it to your p.c and zip it, rename it and upload it in meoboot, then you have a 1:1 copy of your flash image.

NO EMU/CAM SOFTWARE SUPPORT.
Another post like this one and disciplinary action will be taken. You are warned.

I must be doing something wrong as I still only seeing free channels only.

This is what I did:

I restore the Vu+ with the backup that I had this morning before I started installing MeoBoot so that I can start afresh.
Formatted USB and mounted as media/usb
I enabled MeoBoot and installed image BH1.72. Rebooted.
Only free channels available on MeoBoot.
I opened the vuplus/uno folder from today's backup and zipped the 2 files (kernel, root) and named the file vuplus.zip.
I uploaded this .zip file to MbootUpload in meoboot.
Rebooted but everthing seemed to be the same, only free channels.

Don`t open this folder, just zip the folder vuplus and rename it as you like fore example BlackHole.zip
Upload it and install this image through Meoboot Plugin, in Meoboot screen using the red button.

Done it as advised by you, and it's working good.

After unsuccessfully restore with backup, I tried to re-install Backup zip (vuplus) to Meoboot but it got stuck and it did not auto boot, but succeeded to install BH1.72 zip file with no problem. Tried different Backups but still no success. As I need more to install Backup zip in Meoboot than BH1.72, could you please inform me why this is happening and what should I do so that I can install the Backup zip in Meoboot.
