In my box i this problem help reboot box or setup swap on my duo this help in 80% film who no can work.
You still have black pole ?
Try on BH last version becouse image 2.0.2 gived new power to boxes like uno ;solo; duo

Try to give a look to your available RAM (blue button, then yellow)
I am pretty sure you do not have enough ram available. Either too much stuff running, then stop the ones you do not need, either create a swap on a fast usb stick as recommended by bogdann.

Thanks a lot for your feedback
I'check the memory during the freeze and I will try to setup the swap file this evenning.

I have similar issue; playing DVD movies in MKV format from NAS now stutters, and stops after about 30-60 minutes playback into the movie. Seem to apply to all my MPEG2 DVD rips (MakeMKV)
This issue did not appear when running BH 1.7.4 or BH 1.7.6 but appears in both BH 2.0.1 and BH 2.0.2

I have a Vu+ Solo

Might it be that 2.x.x needs more ram than 1.7.x? So that swap is neccessary?
Thanks

You can try to disable plugins you do not need/use

Blue>>Blue>>Black Hole Speed up

If you think the reason is memory problem
and not in something else.

Thanks! I'll try that.

I did not suspect memory before i saw this thread. I have tested rolling back to 1.7.6, and it works fine again, so i know the problem is related to 2.x.x (have been eliminating the box, the NAS and the network)
Annoying thing to troubleshoot though due to the long time it takes to show up.. :(

I really do not know,
I have not noticed this problem.
The truth is I rarely watch long movies.
I also use a network drive but not NAS

I now used the Black Hole Speed up to remove several plugins. That gave me some more memory, but not alot. I then retried the movie, and again it started stuttering after about 35 minutes.
This time i managed to connect to the console. Load was very high.
Enigma2 was using more memory and cpu than at the start of the movie, but not by "alot".

I compared to my other Vu+ Solo (identical, but running BH 1.7.6) and memory usage is almost identical (about 200kb difference in free memory)

I'll try making a swap to see if that helps.
