Vu+ Newbie
Help with his Vu+Uno.For some reason it won't boot!It just shows the spinning VIX emblem.Not sure what it could be.It's happened 3-4 time's now.I wonder if it is connected to it happening when the power is off and not just in standby.It happened again today when after freezing,I rebooted it.Normally it's just left on standby.
Any help appreciated as i'm thinking of getting rid and just using my old but reliable Dreambox 500s.
 
It won't boot at all or it boots eventually after turning it off and on several times? If the latter, then make sure your USB flash disk is NOT ext2 or ext4 formatted. If yes format it to FAT32.

No need Vu+ STB...and the Uno is one of the best!
Now lets solve your problem!

Lets put aside the Vix image and go for BH image 2.02!
Remember to save your settings (use software manager only)
After You flash the new image we can go further!

Yes its good idea , always Erase Format (FAT32) the USB,,,before extracting any image to it!
 
I wanted to use a BH image originally but a friend recommended Vix which,to be fair,has been ok until this begun happening.I will however try to install the BH image instead.

I have installed 2.0.2 , fpga upgrade & available online updates but,cannot seem to configure the Tuner!
Stressed!
 
Not sure if i'm doing anything wrong but,from my experience with PLi & Vix,the reciever normally recognises and clears 28.2º without issue.

Menu>Setup>Service Searching>Tuner Configuration
I do not have UNO,,,but here my Due config,,,as a guide line:-

Its realy easy,,,just go slowly,,Black Hole is user friendly image,,,and in no Time U'll be a BH Lover...:D!
 
Thanks very much folks.I just need to sort my 'Extras' now.
Are there any 'must haves' that should be installed too?(i've done the fpga upgrade and BH update aswell as 1 Channel.

No not really!
Its the users choice!
Just use the plugins that is available @BH addon server!
