GUI extremely slow VU+duo

Hi
I have a problem.
Sometimes my VU+duo hangs (responds slowly) and the blue dot runs in upper left corner.
This for severeal hours, and then suddenly it is back to normal.
I can change channel, view recordings and so on. only GUI is extremely slow. Responds 5-15 seconds after I press button

Anyone know why? and how do I get it to stop doing it?

Probably, low memory.

Press <Blue>, followed of <Yellow> and check your memory status.

But this info about memory is posted from time when all work slow?
Try setup swap he is good to have if box have smoll memory
 
It cannot be excluded also some HDD problems in some of its sectors resulting in reading/writing multiple attempts. If you could test it with a software like HDD Regenerator, for instance, it'd be useful.
And how many plugins have you installed? They are not for free ;)
