HDMI-CEC issues

Vu+ Newbie
Hello all I have a VU+ Zero running Black Hole 2.1.4 on my LG TV 49UB850V and i'm trying to get a hang of the HDMI CEC function on the VU. I can get it working fully (the universal remote control feature is brilliance) the only issue i have is as soon as i try to change inputs for example to my PS4 the VU instantly take back control and changes the input back. i've even tried turning off the Active source reply on to No is that's where I thought the issue lied.

Same here with a Panasonic tv
..
To bypass this error, you can set "hdmi input", to the non existing "hdmi 5" (HDMI-CEC setup)
............. side effect is, that the vu can nolonger wakeup the tv, ...

Best regards

Does it still do it, if you turn the PS4 on first ?

My new Panasonic tv does this too, but only if there is no signal on the input I have switched too.

On my old Panasonic tv, it does not do it, therefore I think the problem is caused by the TV and not the Zero (or any other Vu+ box)

Old thread but I HAVE same issue on New UHD Samsung with vu+duo2. It some signal the VU is sending which totally disrupts the CEC. On my old Tv it was ok. So problem is with VU+ as I have chromecast and Samsung Bluray connected once the VU+ is connected it shows it for 2 seconds and it switches back to HDMI1 (vu+) even if there is no signal on it . But if HDMI-CEC is off on VU then all is ok.

I have bought and LG OLED55E6 and CEC is not working for me. I have enabled simlink in the LG and tryed also to configure the TV with the unviersal controller. On the device list appears VU+ but does not respond to any button press

Forgot to mention that I have the same devices as you chulull:
  • Samsung BD-E6300
  • Chromecast 2
  • Vu+ solo se

The same problem with Sharp LC46LE700E / Vu+ Duo 2 BH 3.0.3.Q.
Seems that BH send input switching signal continuously.
Chromecast 2 switc input correctly.
