HDMI CEC Volume buttons forwarding

I want to get rid of TV's remote, but my TV resets volume to the default and I need to use TV remote to correct it after every reboot.

OpenPli has very nice feature in HdmiCec plugin - forwarding of Volume buttons to TV, but BH - not.

I've found two Vu+ plugin files (HdmiCec.py & plugin.py) with corresponding code, tried to mix it with OpenPli sources but no luck (I don't know Python & BH internals to write it - there is some dependencies to the OpenPli Toolbox component and others, so it's not just adding 2-3 lines of code)

Can anybody add this feature to the BH image or just post the code needed?

You can report this issue directly to VuPlus (www.vuplus.com) BH images are based on official VuPlus images.

You could set the remote to directly control the volume as it is a universal remote.
This is what I do as could not get volume to be controlled via hdmi-cec on my tv.

I used instructions in uno manual, which are same as solo2 that I have.

Yep, it helps, thank you But I have new opposite question - how can I enter into Solo2 menu from my Sharp TV remote? I've tried evey button - no luck

I'm not sure on that one, think you would have to get the hdmi-cec plugin working properly and I only really got it working properly for power down (i.e. turn tv or vu+ off turns the other off).

With me hdmi-cec only works properly with vu+ on one of the hdmi ports on my tv as well, yet hdmi-cec works fine on other ports to control other devices using tv remote.
