Vu+ Newbie
Hello, I'm 20 years experienced with Windows technology but new to Linux and these 'Vu boxes'.
I very recently bought the Vu Solo 2 without HDD and installed a brand new 2.5" WD Blue WD5000LPCX drive.
I have the Vu box all set up and fundamentally working but the HDD appears to 'unmount' itself.
Specifically this is what happens:-
OK so it's all working and if I manually record a channel it does.
If I then set some timers to record overnight, I find the next morning it either puts up the message 'write failure' or records say one minute of an hour timer event, though the event window shows 'complete', and it really was set to say an hour event but fails.
In this instance it sometimes shows the disk as full, when it clearly isn't.
I've done two complete resets and still this continues.
I'm not sure if its my inexperience with Linux and 'mounting drives' / initialising ... or whether its the firmware, as its the original, but version 2017-11-27, not VIX or BH.
Cam anyone please point me in the right direction to sort this .... ?
