Help... Box crashes scanning channels

I've just got a VU+ UNO and have installed the latest BH image. Everything works fine except when I try to scan for satellite channels (Optus D1), the box immediately hangs and doesn't progress the scan. I have copied the tuner settings from another identical box that has an older version of BH that can scan the channels fine. I really want to update both these boxes to the latest version, but can't migrate the settings or execute the scan.

Look to your hdd and try find crashlog.
Will be good if you will be post he on forum.

I just get an endlessly pulsing dot and no crashlog seems to be generated

I am amazed you managed to find an old VU+ Uno receiver.
Try manually scanning in these channels. to see where the problem lies:

Yes, I have a few old stock Uno boxes that turned up randomly. So, I've done some more experimenting. I've cloned the working box (BH 1.x) onto the one that was crashing, and it's scanning and receiving satellite fine, which rules out a hardware problem. In BH 3.x doing anything involving the satellite tuner hangs the box, e.g. satellite finder, scanning services etc. Same thing happens with Vix and another image I tried. V. confusing!

Did you check the satellites.xml file, to see if the satellite/frequencies were listed?
Considering it is an old VU+ Uno have you extended the flash memory, using a USB stick?

Manually scanning in each frequency might help resolve the problem, but happy you've got it working.
