help with dual tuner setup

Hi I need help, I have a a vu+ solo2, one cable plugged onto tuner B and tuner A configured as loopthrought.
Now I was expecting that while I am recording a channel, I can watch some other channel on another transponder, but the channel choice is limited on the channels on the same transponder of the one I am recording. I can do the same with a single tuner configured, so I assume I have configured somethign wrong, please help! I have already looked into the forum posts, but I can't still sort that out, it is supposed to have such limit or I have made a mistake somewhere?

So you have 2 cables? 1 in tuner A and 1 in tuner B? If thats the case set both tuners and simple and single and you should be ok
 
i have same configuration and i know that is not possible to have tow transponders with only one LNB
you mast have 2 LNB or one dual LNB and 2 cables

" I can do the same with a single tuner configured"... is not true, with a single tuner configured you can record one channel and watch ONLY some other channel on same transponder; with your configuration you can record one channel and watch some others on same polarization and low/high frequency.
If you want record onne channel and watch EVERY other channel in the same moment you can use a scr LNB; thois lns, normally, have two output: one legacy that only permit a tuner and one that permit to use 4 different tuner on four channels (ALL INDIPENDENT)
In that way, with only one cable plugged on Tuner A and configuring the tuner B as loopthrought ... look here:

I have 2 cables from the same lnb going into slots lnb1 and lnb2. When i setup tuner config i put tuner B to loopthrough to tuner A. So when i started recording i.e sky sports 1, i could only view a select few other channels in i.e movies etc. Don't know if i have set something up wrong, because i was under the impression that if i have both lnb cables into the ports then i could record a channel and watch any other on the same satellite.
 
You must configure both tuners, and you can watch all channels on same satellite (if you have only one LNB on dish). With loop through this will not work.
 
If you're using two independent cables
Then of course you do not use B to loopthrough to tuner A.

No is not the same and not only the same transponder.
BUT
PIP and recording working with single cable single LNB
if satellite , the polarization and SR is the same.
(So at different frequencies and transponder but the same SR nad polarisation)

Of course it is limited compared to multi LNB.

I did not wrote about LNB SCR, but about twin LNB(read the post above mine)
